Why am I not Earning credits?

I get this question from time to time. A member will view other members sites but their credit level remains the same. I can understand the frustration, and would be upset myself.

Everyone of these that I have looked into had one thing in common though. Auto-assign was turned on.  If Auto assign is turned on any credits earned will be automaticlt assigned to any sites you have in rotation they will not go to your credit bank first.

To check if you have auto-assign on log into your member area and go to the site manager. There will be a link above the list of sites that says auto assign is either on or off. to change it just click that link.

While on the topic of credits I also get asked about bonus credits.  In your members area there is a list of credits you have. One of these lists are bonus credits. These are credits earned for reffering new members or awarded as an extra bonus from time to time. These credits are not available for imeadiate use. As you surf the bonus credits will be moved to your available credits. One bonus credit for one site visted. If you are a pro member and earning a 1:1 ratio already you will actually be earnig a 2:1 ratio, or two credits for every site you view.

Focus 4 Checker and game update

The Focus 4 Checker is now installed at the MTP. What does this meen? It meens that there should be no more sites running things in the back ground framebreakers or anything else. This checker is a more advanced way to screen all the sites being entered for rotation at MTP.

This should not have an effect for you unless you are using a rotator. In order to keep all the sites thourowly checked we will only allow rotators that are also running theese checks on sites when they are submitted.

Currently there are three rotators aprooved to be used, Hitssconnect page swirl and our inhouse MTP rotator. If you are using any other type of rotator they will be removed this weekend.

Sorry for any inconvienience this may cause but it is being done to keep the surfing smooth and protect the computers of all the members.

The race game has also been slightly modified there were a couple of members that won the race but were not awarded credits this has been fixed now and should no longer be a problem.

Also if you do not like the race game you can select a different one or none at all, to do this just scroll down to the bottom of your members page and you will see a drop down menue with your account details you can use this menue to select which game you prefer.

One Tier vs. Multi level

I have always been a fan of MLM (multi level marketing). What’s not to like, if you can refer a couple of people that do the same that do the same you are set. At least in theory it works that way. I know there are plenty of people that are successful with this and I applaud them.
Personally though, I have never had much success. I have always been able to bring in referrals for myself. I then spent my time trying to help those under me do the same thing I was doing. I soon found that not everyone was willing to do what I was to get any referrals. Or that they would get some but not spend the time to show them how to do the same. But that is just my experience in MLM.

Fast forward to now and I am no longer involved in marketing any programs other than my own traffic exchange. I may send out an occasional recommendation for programs but these are things that I think will be beneficial to the members of maxtrafficpro (things like Stephen Ayers Traffic Exchange Roadmap ) When setting up MTP I knew that if I wanted to use PayPal as a payment processor I would have to make sure I complied with their Terms of Service. To do this I only offered commissions for direct referral purchase and upgrades. This is within Paypals T.O.S. and it rewards members for referring new members.

I thought that was it, one level for payments and I was good. It didn’t matter about the rest of the site as long as the commissions were only paid on one level. So thinking this I set it up so members would earn credits on up to 10 levels of referrals’.

Before I continue lets look at that referral structure. Free members earned 10% for their direct referrals and 5% for second and third level referrals activity. So if a free member referred 5 people that each surfed 100 sites a week they would earn 50 extra credits. If each of those 5 people got 5 referrals, that would be 25 members. If each of these members surfed for a hundred sites the member would receive 125 extra credits. Now if those 25 members each referred 5 people that would be 125 people earning 5% for the original member we started out with. So again if each of those members surfed 100 sites that would be 625 extra credits. So in total that would be 700 extra credits that sounds great to me 700 extra credits for referring 5 people.

But let’s think about that for a second, that is 700 credits but in order for that to happen it would take the efforts of 155 people. And it would require that every one of those 125 people surfed 100 sites.
This of course is all in theory and there are a lot of “ifs” involved. This will happen “if” everyone you refer refers more people. It will work “if” each of those members surf 100 sites and if they all refer 5 people. Now I already told you my experience with MLM and that I have never actually seen the theory materialize. Normally for me it would end up I refer 100 people, of those 100 5 would refer a couple of people 5-10 would be active in the program and the remaining would do nothing at all or be active sporadically.

I would try to show these people how to get their 5 referrals but they were not interested in recruiting other people, they wanted to work the program. I never really showed them the benefits of the program because I was too busy trying to get them to refer new people. That is a huge mistake I made and it’s a huge mistake I see a lot of others doing every day.

Still that was a total of 20% of your downlines credits you were getting. Let’s say for a minute though that you only got credits for your direct referrals.

Let’s say you still have those same 5 referrals, but now you are earning 20% of the credits they earn instead of 10%. So now if they were to each surf 100 sites you would earn 100 credits. Far less than the 700 before but you are getting it right away. You do not have to wait for 150 more people to join; you are getting those extra credits right away.

Also now that you do not get any benefit from your referral members referring new members you probably wont be trying to push to them the latest and greatest way to refer new members, instead you would probably show them how being active in the exchange will benefit them. Teach them to use a splash page, how to use a tabbed browser to surf the sites that are in the downliebuilder and maximize their efforts. So now these members are getting better results and are surfing more lets say they are now surfing 200 sites. And since you are not taking your time to show others how to refer new members (unless of course they ask) you have more time to refer new members your self. So now your direct referrals have grown from 5 to 10.

So now you are earning 400 extra credits with a team of only 10. You do not have to worry if there are another 140 people surfing or referring or anything else.

But what is even better than those 400 extra credits is the fact that you have helped 10 people start building their business and they will be thank full for that. They will join the other programs you recommend to them so now you are not only earning those 400 extra credits in one exchange but in 10 so that is 4000 extra credits for you and a great working relationship with 10 other like minded marketers.
Now there are some “ifs” involved in this model as well but a lot less, 145 less to be exact.

Do you think it would be easier to work with 10 people and help them grow their business which in turn helps your business? Or do you think it would be easier to work with 150 people you do not really have the time to get to know?

Who do you think would respond better to suggestions you may have? Those ten you helped or that 100 that get an email from you every once in a while but have no idea who you are other than some one they get emails from every once in a while?

I can tell you from my own experience that a small team of people that work together can get 100 times more accomplished then a large team that doesn’t.

Anyway getting back to PayPals TOS, they have made the clarification that just because the payment structure is within their terms does not mean the site is. Since traffic exchanges sell credits, giving credits on more than one level is basically the same as giving money on more than one level and therefore violates their terms.

This has caused some concern with many traffic exchange owners that do offer referrals credits on more than one level. There are basically three choices an owner has. Either change their structure, change their payment processor. Or do nothing and risk having their paypal accounts frozen.

After thinking about this, and thinking about the above structures laid out, I believe it is the best interest of MTP as a business and for its members to restructure to earning credits for direct referrals and increasing the amount earned for those referrals.

Many other exchanges are going this way as well and I really do think that it will benefit the members. It will help build stronger working relationships with smaller groups, and turn the focus from building a downline, to what everyone joined for in the first place: getting traffic to their site and increasing sales.
