MTP Gets a new Look

March 19, 2008 in Latest MTP News, Traffic Exchange Talk by William Brant

MaxTrafficPro Just went under the knife and  an updated  look is now live.

I would like to hear what you have to say about the changes (good or bad) so feel free to drop by the forum and let us know what you think.

There are still more changes coming and more features coming soon but for now we are just updating the look and feel of the site.

Once everyone is familiar with the new layout we will start adding the new stuff.

I want everyone to see the new design and we are having a one week referral contest for those of you that would like to help show it off.

The Top Three referrers will each earn $1.00 for each new member they bring in over the next week.

Referrers 4th-6th will each earn $0.50 for each new member, and the members that place 7th-10th in the contest will earn $0.25 for each new member.

If you don’t place in the top ten there are still plenty of prizes you can win though. For every referral you bring in over the next week you will get one entry into the prize pool.

We have over 100 prizes that will be given away at the end of the week and they will be awarded randomly to the names in the prize pool.

The more entries you have the more chances you have to win.

In order for a referral to count they have to log in and activate their account and they can not be guaranteed, or paid to join sign ups.

I hope you enjoy the new layout.

Focus Points and the Focus Checker

July 27, 2006 in Latest MTP News, Traffic Exchange Talk by William Brant

I posted a question yesterday asking how everyone felt about the focus checker and the focus loyalty points.  I found out that there are a lot of members that are not sure exactly what they are so I will explain them better here. I appologize for not better explaining them in the first place.

First off is the  focus loyalty points.  To sign up for a free acount you can visit http://focus4points.com/.  There are a few other exchanges that offer focus points and a couple of merchents as well.

While surfing at MaxTrafficPro you should see a yellow button appear on the surf bar from time to time that looks like   Just click on that button and it will open a new window where it will open your focus4 account and add the points you just won.

Once you have collected enough points you can trade them for different items, such as upgrades in the paricipating exchanges, credit packages, or anything else that is being offered within the members area.

Just log into your account and you can browse through the different catagories to see what is available or you can go to the programs section and trade for credits at your favorite exchange.

If you have any questions about this just let me know.

O.K  now for the checker. When you add a site to the exchange you would have to check it and the script would check for framebreaking sites. Frame breakers are a problem within the exchanges that interupt the surfing by removing the surf bar.

This is not the only kind of site though that causes problems though. That is where the focus checker comes in. Now when you enter a site it will go through a more thourough check.

This now checks sites for virus’s,  hidden frames that run searches in the background, and a number of other problems that can disrupt the surfing and/or damage your computer. There seems to still be a couple of sites that should pass this check that are not but that is being worked on now.

If you have a site that you think should pass the check but does not please forward it to me at support@maxtrafficpro.com

Another way users were getting their frame breaking or other sites into the exchnges is by using rotators. The focus script can also be added to rotators so all sites will have to be checked as they are added. For this reason only rotators that run this check are approved to be used on exchanges that also run this script. At the time of this writing the Hits Connect, Page Swirl and Max Traffic Pro rotators are approved and more are being added.

Using traffic exchanges

April 8, 2006 in Tips & Tricks, Traffic Exchange Talk by William Brant

Â
Â
A traffic exchange is a website promotion system based on the concept of
reciprocation. In simplest terms, you achieve exposure for your own web site,
banner ads, and even text links by viewing the sites and ads of other people.
Â
These programs provide you with a very powerful way of:
Â
Putting your product or service in front of a very diverse audience
Â
Seeing what other folks are promoting
Â
Getting an idea of how your competition is targeting their campaigns
Â
Branding your name, gather leads, and yes, even make sales
Â
Traffic Exchanges are member based, so you must open an account with
each exchange you intend to use. This is a simple task that can be completed
in a couple of minutes, and it’s usually free.
Â
The initial sign-up process will require you to enter your name and a valid email
address. Additionally, you may be asked for information about your web site.
Â
In some cases, you are also asked to select a username and password with
which to access your member’s only area. Other exchanges will assign you with
a user number and an auto-generated password.
Â
Once you have completed the sign-up form, you will receive a validation email.
You will need to click the link indicated in this message in order to validate (prove
that you own) the email address you have used to register your membership.
Â
All traffic exchanges operate on a credit system. Members earn credits by
participating in a variety of ways, and then “spend” these credits on website visitors,
banner ad impressions, text links, and in some cases, even email advert’s.
Â
By maintaining active memberships in a few good exchanges, you can generate
a tremendous flow of traffic for any web site you wish to advertise. When used
properly, these resources are an excellent way to promote just about anything.
Â
Â
This is an entry from my Traffic Exchange Training Course. You can get the rest of this tutorial for free, and learn how traffic exchanges can not only boost your traffic, but can also become a secondary income for your business by filling in the short form on the right.
