Ok like I said in the email the story got a bit long so instead of clogging up the email decided to put
it here on the blog,

About a year ago our original system mailer broke. No one was getting any email at all
not even their confirmation email after they joined.

So I panicked and tried to find someone that could fix it. As luck would have it, I couldn’t
find anyone that was available, so had to go looking at script lance.

Well, long story short, a freelancer that didn’t really understand the site or the mailer put together
a quick fix that used Aweber to handle all the emails.

It wasn’t the perfect solution but it worked fotr the most part, and we have had to deal
with all the imperfections and make it work.

So here it is a year later and we have three oops make that four different mailing lists
for the same site.

The original one from the begining of the site with the broken (well partially fixed)  which
we tried mailing from yesterday.

The aweber list that members are put on when they join MaxTrafficPro, and the other

Aweber list that you can join from withing the members area, if you havent been receiving
any of the emails from the other mailers.

Oh and the Two Aweber ones, are not really integrated with the site verry well so  theres
been plenty of issues.

So that brings us finally to the fourth mailer.

Traffic Wave.

Im sure you have noticed a lot of owners making the switch over to traffic wave to handle their
mailings.

Part of that is due to the owner, Brian Rooney’s understanding of te’s and openess to work with TE owners, and
Simon Kelly’s mod to integrate it with TE’s.

So now we finally do have a great solution to the problem that started a year ago.

When you log in to your MaxTrafficpro account you will be asked to verify your email
I appologize for having to opt in , yet again, but rest assured it is so we can finally consolidate the
three other mailers into one fully integrated one and be done with it.

The first was Hitsafari, but now it looks like TrafficPunk has done it too. what is that you may wander? Changed scripts from the once supperior TCNTE script to the LJ script.

The LJ script hasnt improved in years, but those that support and work with the script have added some great features that most TE users have come to expect.

So where it may seem to some that moving to the lj script is a step backward it is actually a step forward for sites like TrafficPunk that can now add more features more easily since there are more programmers available that are familiar with the script.

The TCNTE Owners (MTP is run on TCNTE script in case youe wondering, a heavily moded one but it is originally a TCNTE script) Have been standing by anxiously awaiting a newer version of our script for some time now, and I can see why some are making the switch, but I will be sticking with the current script for a while ( allthough we do have some cool new features in development ) and possibley switch to the new version of the TCN when it does finally hit the street. But are others going to stick it out with me ? or will more start making the move to the LJ?

Speaking of LJ’s another one was just launched today. Like the others it has all the bells and wistles to keep surfers happy and there are few new additions that havent been seen before. That on top of the killer design make HitInsomnia a Site to watch and a verry good canidate for one of this years best new exchange.

Shuan has some good ideas for spreading the TE word outside of the normal avenues and it will be interesting to see how well it works at bringing new eyes into the TE world and into HitInsomnia

MaxTrafficPro Just went under the knife and  an updated  look is now live.

I would like to hear what you have to say about the changes (good or bad) so feel free to drop by the forum and let us know what you think.

There are still more changes coming and more features coming soon but for now we are just updating the look and feel of the site.

Once everyone is familiar with the new layout we will start adding the new stuff.

I want everyone to see the new design and we are having a one week referral contest for those of you that would like to help show it off.

The Top Three referrers will each earn $1.00 for each new member they bring in over the next week.

Referrers 4th-6th will each earn $0.50 for each new member, and the members that place 7th-10th in the contest will earn $0.25 for each new member.

If you don’t place in the top ten there are still plenty of prizes you can win though. For every referral you bring in over the next week you will get one entry into the prize pool.

We have over 100 prizes that will be given away at the end of the week and they will be awarded randomly to the names in the prize pool.

The more entries you have the more chances you have to win.

In order for a referral to count they have to log in and activate their account and they can not be guaranteed, or paid to join sign ups.
